About Coach

Cordell is a Portland native who grew up playing football, baseball, and basketball in NEP. He continued his athletic career by playing football during his undergraduate program at Occidental College in Los Angeles, where he studied kinesiology. Following his time at Occidental, Cordell completed a dual-track Master of Science in orthopedic rehabilitation and geriatric exercise science. During his Master's program in 2017, Cordell obtained a certified personal trainer certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and began coaching others. Cordell utilizes his education and training experience to help a variety of individuals meet their fitness goals. He is passionate about using exercise as a mechanism to help reduce the risks of a number of diseases and illnesses while also increasing overall well-being and quality of life. Whether it's aspiring collegiate athletes, individuals rehabilitating from an orthopedic injury, or older adults fighting off the hastening physiological effects of aging, Cordell has the tools to help anyone meet their fitness goals.
